Thank You
We want to dedicate this page to all people/organisations who have helped Alex by donating funds initially for the appeal to get us to America in 2007 and for the continuous support | ||
It's our way of saying thanks as they have either; cared for Alex, supplied him with services, lifted a burden from us as parents, donated money or items to help with his upkeep and development. We also want it to be a reminder to Alex for when he's old enough to understand that people cared about him and it was not just his family. If anyone or any organisation included in the pages on the left feel that they would like their names/comments removed please get in touch with us via our email on the "Contacts Us" page and we will remove the comments immediately, as we do not want to offend anyone. We only include this disclaimer because we are putting the majority of our comments without any authourisation and do not want to embarrass anybody by asking them first. Additionally if you think we have missed you out please embarrass us by sending a us email; again via our "Contacts Us" page. Once in a while the human spirit and its generosity overcomes, eclipses all the hatred, bigotry and selfishness that exist in the world we live in today. Sue and I have witnessed this firsthand since we started our appeal for Alex. We did not know if our goals, dreams and wishes whatever they may be called could be achieved but we had to try because of the love we have for our son. Our goals, dreams, wishes for Alex are halfway to becoming a reality, but we played the most minor part in this. When Alex is old enough to understand why we set this site up and he can see what was done for him, he will realise that it was not his mum, dad and family who gave him the his first and best opportunities in his early years but all the following people listed here and also the ones who wanted to stay anonymous. We have personally emailed all the people who donated money online to thank them for their kind generosity, in doing this we have also made some new friends up and down the UK, Holland and Japan! We want to take the opportunity to thank all the people who donated cheques and Postal Orders via the “Liverpool Echo”, we have not been able to email you but we are in the process of writing thank you letters to people who sent covering letters and addresses but to all the people we don’t have addresses and these are in the majority, Sue, Myself, Mike, Jess and especially Alex are so very grateful for the donations you all have sent, we cannot believe the generosity that you have all shown collectively, we will be forever in you debt and want to thank you ever so much. Before we list the people who have sent payments, we just want to say one last thing, Alex in the very near future will not be alone and walking just with giants, he will be standing shoulder to shoulder, playing and meeting with children/adults his own size. Even if he never gets another chance again in his life time, both Sue and I will ensure that everyday in the convention will be captured by camera and will serve the purpose to remind him that he was not alone and he never just walked with giants, these giants supported and loved him! The Connerty Family as a whole will forever stand in your shadows and will be eternally grateful for you have done for Alex. 05/04/07 Sue and I would like to express our dear thanks to Jean Foster for raising £104.00 via a raffle she did within HM Revenue & Customs, Queens Dock.
